Although the floor plan remains relatively open and fluid, we carefully sculpted the light to offer moments of respite throughout the space. Skylights gently draw the outdoors in, while dramatic curtains and unexpected dark walls create intimate pockets of quiet. Each detail is considered to encourage both connection and solitude, with a dialogue between modern and mid-century elements. Our intention was to create a space that feels timeless yet alive, where materials and light converge to evoke a sense of inspiring calm.
We opted for opulence through organic materials: verdant, teeming plants, soft wools and linens as well as bespoke furniture designed by Corinne Mathern Studio. We brought in lighting from our own collection, and to help balance sharp lines and cool tones we partnered with Sharon Zoldan Art Advisory whose selection of undulating drawings and textural artwork made each room sing. Notable works include: line drawings by Morandi, Klimt and Maria Lassnig, hanging sculptures by Lee Ufan and Gotthard Graubner, and a Louise Nevelson hanging paper piece.
