For this complete renovation, Corinne Mathern Studio drew inspiration from the enchanting journey to the Santa Ynez Valley, aiming to create a serene and harmonious environment that celebrates the natural splendor surrounding the residence.

Carefully curated around intricate stone patterns, the interior spaces showcase a seamless blend of natural elements. Rich natural wood and subtle cream-colored plaster form the foundation and are complemented by layers of moody black stones and tiles that evoke modern charm.

Corinne Mathern Studio harmonized the color palette, furniture, and artworks to mirror the California landscape. The owners, not just vintners but ardent nature lovers, envisioned the home as a sanctuary for their family. By collaborating with Corinne Mathern Studio, the house became a tangible reflection of their deep connection with nature and art. Iconic furniture pieces by Michael Taylor, Piet Boon and Jean Prouve pair beautifully with the client’s own meticulously designed lighting and furniture pieces. Commissioned hand carved sinks create a space that is not just visually captivating but also deeply rooted in the essence of its natural surroundings.

The original pine floors were painstakingly refinished, we added new solid oak doors throughout, we plastered every wall, and leathered all the stone.
